Cold Front Moves Through Today

Winds have shifted out of the northwest over the past hour indicating that the cold front has pushed through the area. What few showers/thunderstorms that developed have dissipated.

Dry conditions can be expected for the remainder of the day. While some areas are currently getting sunshine, a band of low-level clouds associated with the front is currently progressing out of Alabama and into northwest Florida. But clearing skies can be expected by this afternoon.

In the wake of the front a much cooler and drier air mass will push in. Dew points will fall into the 40s and 50s area wide by late this afternoon/early this evening. However, the cooler air won’t arrive until tonight/tomorrow morning.

High temperatures today will range in the upper 70s to lower 80s. Overnight temperatures will fall into the 50s. Some inland locations could dip into the upper 40s.

Tomorrow will feature clear skies with high temperatures in the 70s.
