Severe Weather Possible Tomorrow, Saturday

There is a threat for severe weather across parts of the Southern Plains into the Lower Mississippi Valley and Southeast tomorrow and Saturday.

The Storm Prediction Center has defined an enhanced (level 3 out of 5) risk for severe weather for tomorrow.

A slight (level 2 out of 3) risk for severe weather has been defined for Saturday.

It is likely that a mesoscale convective system/squall line will develop in the Ark-La-Tex vicinity tomorrow afternoon/evening and track east/southeast across Louisiana and Mississippi overnight, and Alabama and the Florida Panhandle early Saturday.

There will also be potential for multiple other clusters/complexes of storms to develop Friday/Friday night.

The primary threats will likely be damaging winds and hail. However, a couple of tornadoes will also be possible.
