High Impact Winter Weather Event to Unfold Sunday Through Tuesday

A high impact winter weather event is likely to impact much of Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and parts of Alabama Sunday through Tuesday.

Snow will be likely across central/northern Texas, northern Louisiana, and northwest Mississippi.

However, for much of south Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, and northwest Alabama, a potentially significant swath of sleet/freezing rain is looking more likely than snow.

In addition, dangerously cold temperatures can also be expected.

Temperatures will likely fall below zero across north Texas Monday night/Tuesday morning, while teens will likely reach as far south as the Texas Gulf Coast.
