Tropical Depression Eight Forms in Gulf

Invest 91L has developed into a tropical depression – the eighth of the 2020 Atlantic hurricane season.

As of the 10 PM CDT advisory, Tropical Depression Eight had maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and was moving west-northwest at 6 mph.

TD 8 is forecast to become Tropical Storm Hanna by Friday. A tropical storm watch has been issued for a portion of the Texas Coast.
