BREAKING: Tropical Depression Five has Formed

Invest 99L has been upgraded to Tropical Depression Five.

As of 10 AM CDT, Tropical Depression Five was located about 805 miles east-southeast of Barbados, tracking west at 12 mph, with maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and a minimum central pressure of 1010 millibars.

Tropical Depression Five is forecast to become tropical storm Dorian by Sunday, and a category 1 hurricane by Wednesday.

The official track forecast is for Tropical Depression Five to maintain a general west to west-northwest motion, reaching the eastern Caribbean by the middle of next week.
