Spring Like Warmth on the Way

Two surges of unseasonably warmth are on the way. The first will surge arrive tomorrow and last through Friday. The second will arrive next week, and it will be longer in duration, likely lasting through the end of the month.

Tomorrow – Friday

An upper ridge currently positioned over the Southeast and Eastern Gulf will expand further west tomorrow.

This ridge will cause a surge of above average, spring like temperatures through Friday, before the it weakens and shifts east over the weekend. Highs in the upper 60s to lower to mid 70s.

Next week

Early next week, a more prolonged pattern change is going to take place.

A trough is going dig into the Western U.S., and another upper ridge will develop and become established — this time over the Eastern and Central portions of the country.

The result will be a be another period above average to well above average spring like temperatures, which will more than likely last through the end of the month.
