Warming up; Potential for a few Strong to Marginally Severe Storms Sunday into Monday

Tonight: Lows will range from the upper 40 to lower 50s along the Texas Gulf Coast, and upper 30s to mid 40s elsewhere.

This weekend: Tomorrow high temperatures will be much warmer than they have been for the past couple of days, ranging from the mid 60s to mid to upper 70s. mild overnight lows, ranging from the mid 60s to mid to upper 40s.

Forecast high temperatures Sunday.

Sunday, highs will again be in the 60s and 70s, with overnight lows in the 50s and 60s.

Potential for strong a few to marginally severe storms Sunday into Monday: A front is going to push through Sunday into Monday.

Moisture will increase along and ahead of it .This will result in a band of rain and storms moving from west to east across the upper Texas Gulf Coast, Louisiana, South and Central Mississippi and Alabama, and the Western Florida Panhandle Sunday into Monday.

There is some potential for a few isolated strong to marginally severe storms along the upper Texas Gulf Coast and across much of Louisiana Sunday into Sunday night, and possibly further east going into Monday.

However, the overall severe weather threat is minimal. Shear is going to be present, but instability will be limited. The main threat from any stronger storms would be gusty winds, and perhaps an isolated tornado or two.

Turning cool early next week: Cooler air will return early next week behind the aforementioned front.
